Scripture Passage for the Day
Listen to this word, you Bashan cows on the hill of Samaria,
who oppress the helpless and grind down the poor,
who say to your lords, 'Bring us drink;"
the Lord God has sworn by his holiness
that your time is coming
when men will carry you away on shields
and your children in fish-baskets.
